❓ FAQ
-
1. What are "saturated mode" and "unsaturated mode"? How to choose?Saturation mode: The humidity is maintained at 100% RH, suitable for PCT high-pressure accelerated aging tests.
Non-saturation mode: The humidity can be adjusted (e.g. 85% RH), suitable for testing of electrically charged electronic components, avoiding the occurrence of condensation water that may cause false short circuits. -
2. What are the differences between the HAST test and the traditional 85/85 test (the double 85 test)? The traditional 85/85 test (at 85℃/85%RH) is an unpressurized test and takes approximately 1000 hours.
HAST enhances the steam permeability through pressurization, achieving the same failure effect in only 96 to 168 hours, significantly shortening the research and development cycle. -
3. What are the requirements for water quality? The HAST test has extremely strict requirements for water quality. Deionized water with an electrical conductivity of less than 5 μS/cm must be used, which can effectively prevent electrode corrosion and pipe scaling.
-
4. What types of samples can be tested in the TA-PCT-350?The TA-PCT-350 is suitable for a wide range of samples including semiconductor packages, PCB assemblies, optoelectronic devices, adhesive materials, and precision electronic components that require accelerated moisture and pressure aging evaluation.
-
5. How often does the equipment require maintenance?Routine maintenance is recommended after every 200 operating hours or monthly, whichever comes first. Key maintenance tasks include checking the water filtration system, inspecting the door seal and pressure relief valve, and verifying the calibration of temperature and pressure sensors.
-
6. Can the TA-PCT-350 be used for both PCT and HAST testing?Yes. The TA-PCT-350 supports both PCT (Pressure Cooker Test) in saturated steam mode and HAST (Highly Accelerated Stress Test) in unsaturated mode. Users can switch between modes via the 7-inch touch screen controller to meet different international testing standards such as JESD22-A110 and IEC 60068-2-66.
